All My Life I have been looking for someone to STUDY the Bible with. I had hoped that this would be an open minded study of the Bible. Is it that. Already I am having trouble understanding something.
If Sin is breaking the Ten Commandments, was there no sin before Moses?
Sin is Disobedience to God. If God says don't do it, and we do it anyway knowing we shouldn't, then it is sin.
Sin began when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating of the tree of the knowlege of good and evil after God told them not to eat it. So there was clearly sin before Moses.
The Bible says "All have sinned" which I am sure you will agree with by simply comparing yourself with the ten commandments. Most people have broken most of the ten commandments. I know I have broken at least ten of them according to what Jesus taught.
Jesus taught that hating your brother is murder in your heart. And looking on a woman (or man) with lust is the same as fornication. We just have to remember that God is perfect and He requires us to be perfect and since we are not, this is why we needed a perfect man to die for us. The blood of Jesus covers us and makes us perfect in Gods sight.
Also, yes, I would like for this site to be an open minded study of the Bible.
